One lady was wondering what on earth we were going to be talking about last Thursday. Come to think of it , renewing ones desire can mean many things in many contexts! But for our recent connecting day ,broadly joining some google definitions of both words, this excellent definition of renewed desire came about.
‘ To give fresh life or strength to a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen’.
Desires can be stifled and given up on for so many various reasons ,
4 common reasons include

- Thinking you don’t have what it takes to get what you want because you don’t know how to go about things or can’t fathom how something could possibly come to pass.
- Failed previous trials or waiting for ages and yet nothing has happened.
- Giving up because you think it is now too late and so you have decided to live without the change. ( Entered ‘que sera sera’- mode).
- Being fed up of repeated disappointments.

1. Decide to get up -Hebrews 12:12-13 (NKJV)
Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.
2. Review Your Desires – James 4:2-3 (NKJV)
You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures
3. Breathe on every dead desire-Ezekiel 37:9 (KJV)
Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
4. Renew your mind-Ephesians 4:23 (KJV)
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
